Former Finnish peacekeeper, who had arrived from Kosovo a week ago to Finland has shot one person and himself. One person was wounded seriously. The shooter was born 1983 and victims were born 1984 and 1985. The shooter used revolver and hunting rifle. Shooting happen during the night in Rovaniemi, in front of hotel Vaakuna. The motive of the shooter is unknown and he did not knew his victims. Shooter or the victims did not have criminal background. There has been discussion at Finnish discussion forums, where eyewitnesses have described the shooting incident. According to discussion, shooter arrived with a car and start shooting while driving. The restaurant customers were evacuated during the case from the back door of the bar. According to police, it was alarmed at 2:44 during the night, because there had been several gunshots. Police arrived in few minutes, but there were already two death persons at the scene and one seriously wounded. Police has not found evidence that shooter would have known his victims. Police has no idea about shooters motive. Street shootings are very rare in Finland, where the most of the murders are done with knife. Last shooting, with several victims was Jokela High School shooting 7.11.2008. But this time it looks like shooter did not make any videos. At discussion forum Suomi24, there have been evaluations about shooter's name, but these are just rumours.
