Former Finnish skiing coach, Kari-Pekka Kyrö is now started to talk about Finnish skiing doping usage. Kyrö has mentioned also names like Jari Piirainen and Pekka Vähäsöyrinki. Kyrö also claims, that Finland has had a shared doping program with Russia related to EPO. Finnish police has started to research the doping case again. Finnish media does not seem to be very interested in publishing these things in English, so Kirnu does that for you. And I think that Finnish skiing organization, Hiihtoliitto, will not have an easy task to find new sponsors for a while. Latest Finnish skiier, who has been captured using doping is Kaisa Varis in 2008. Related article: IBU: Kaisa Varis B-sample reveals doping use Updated: 24.6.2008 Now some previous members of skiing organization have stated to speak, but very carefully. For example Antti Leppävuori admits, that Hiihtoliitto did buy Hemohes for it's athletes. I assume, that several persons are quite worried, and now they start to reveal things, which they are likely to be caught. Hiihtoliitto has called an extra meeting for Friday related to the doping case.
