Finland wins Sweden in ice hockey world championshiops 2008

Finland took clear victory from Sweden and took bronze medals. Sweden seemed to be the dominant team, especially in the second period, but Finland made the goals and Finlands goalie, Nicklas Bäckström was the wall. Finland took several penalties, but Sweden was still not able to make goals. Sweden did not avoid risks but took the goalie off first time, when there was still seven minutes left the game. When there was only 3:37 game left, Tuomo Ruutu took a penalty and it was Swedens last changes and Sweden tried to make the goal with six players. But it Finland and Mikko Koivu, who made the goal in 57:35 and the game was played.

On the other hand, you could say that it was Antti Pihlström and Niclas Bäckström, who won the medals for Finland.
