I remember three murder cases in Finland, where the name of the shooter has been know in Internet forums, before police has given the names into public. Petri Gerd was a bomber, who blew himself and six others (Myyrmanni bombing) in Myyrmanni shopping mall, Finland, in 11.10.2002. During those days, I had followed a Finnish "home bombing" site Kotikemia (Home Chemistry), where people shared their experiences about home made bombs. I remember, that even before police even had an idea about the bomber, members of the Kotikemia forum had their suspects about the bomber being a member of the forum: rc, and later this suspects turned to be correct. The murderers identity was then revealed in the Internet on other discussion forum. Later turned out, that rc (Petri Gerd) had left messages at Kotikemia, which gave hints about the coming bombing. Pekka-Eric Auvinen was a high school student, who shot himself and eight other people in 7.11.2007 in Jokela High School, Finland (Jokela High School Shooting). Shooters name was revealed by the police during the same day, but it had already been know at IRC gallery discussion groups, and after that by the media. Shooter Pekka-Eric Auvinen had made an Youtube video about the shooting and uploaded it just few minutes before he started to shoot at people at Jokela High School: Jokela High School Massacre 11/7/2007 In Sunday night, 18.5.2008 at Rovaniemi, Finland, a former peacekeeper shot one person and wounded one person before shooting himself. About 12 hours after the shooting, shooters name is published at Suomi24 discussion forum. The discussion was removed after few hours, as the author himself asks for it. The motive of the author seemed to be, if the publishing the was legal or not. But then, suspected shooters name and picture is dug from Facebook as his picture and then a new discussion is opened (and going on while writing this) at Kuvalauta discussion forum: How does I shoot people in Rovaniemi? Jyrki Neitola. Still while writing this, the name of the shooter has not been published by the police nor media.
