Imperium's idea is simple. Build up an army and destroy your enemies. You'll start with selecting your starting point and resources.  Then your build your empire. You'll have to build houses, farms, market places, mines, garrisons etc. to run your empire and build up an army. After you are ready, you can start your conquest. And if you are slow, you'll be conquered.
